This NEW scholarship is offered on behalf of Michael Woodall. Michael Woodall dedicated more than 44 years to the Underground Utility Industry and over 27 years supporting UUCF/NUCA of North Florida and the state association. Throughout his career, he recognized the importance of association involvement in strengthening and advancing the industry.

Michael served multiple terms as President (1999, 2001, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2019, 2022) and was a member of the Board of Directors from 2006–2021, serving at both the local and state levels, including as state President. He was also honored with the President’s Award (1999, 2002, 2014, 2019) and the Andrew J. Mays Award (2002, 2011) and was a Gold NUCA Sponsor from 2017–2022.

In addition to his leadership roles, Michael consistently supported the association by attending the annual state conference from the 1990s through 2023. Today, he enjoys retirement, traveling the world and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Who is Eligible– Any High School Senior or Current College Student/Trade School Student whose parent or guardian is employed by a current NUCA NF member company in good standing. Applicants must be a high school senior or a currently enrolled college/ university/trade school student and will be attending an institution of higher education beginning this summer/fall on a full or part time basis. The Michael Woodall Scholarship is a $5000 one-time award.
